 Technical Info

Generally, granite is made up of plutonic rock, which is predominantly composed up of quartz, potassium and sodium feldspar. It’s incredibly dense – about 2.6 times the amount the same volume of water would weigh. It’s hard too, rating 6 to 7 in the Moh’s scale, compared to marble which rates at 3 to 4.
